SEC's 3 minute thesis competition - an event sponsored by

Research communication competition for PhD students, 23rd February 2016

The rules of the competition* are the following:

  • A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted.
  • No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) or props are permitted.
  • Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum and competitors exceeding 3 minutes are disqualified.
  • Presentations are to be spoken word (e.g. no poems, raps or songs).

*Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) was developed by The University of Queensland in 2008.
