Contract R & D and Consultancy Services
The Centre for Fire and Explosion Studies (CFES) offers contract R&D and professional consultancy service within the broad discipline of fire and explosions.
CFES specialises in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling of fire and explosions in support of design, hazards & incident investigations as well as the development of codes and standards. Our services include but not limited to the following:
- Contracted developments of sub-models for fire and explosion studies
- Expert advice, training and guidance on CFD
- Consultancy services in fire and explosion studies
- Provision of CFES modified version of open source CFD codes
- Joint EU FP7 Grants Applications
- Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
In addition, we offer an Accident Database for hydrogen and hydrocarbon fuels.
