About PROTOPOLO Database

The site contains two dimentional and three dimentional information of all proteins and their shapes. Simple searches can be performed using the panel on the left. The advanced search facility accepts a single or combination of parameters such as shape, name and chain number.
Moreover, the topology of each protein quaternary structure is provided in a standard graph format (GML) so that they can be analysed or compared using standard network analysis tools.

Database* includes information about:

Protein quaternary structure
(2D Cartoon)
2D rotational symmetry
(GML graph)
3D rotational symmetry
Associated platonic shape
Number of chains
Chain homology
Chain interactions
Interchain Beta Sheets
Disulphide Bridges

*Protein Explorer plugin is required to visualise protein 3D structures.
